Built for parish life, by people who understand it.
Our story
Gathering Light Studio grew out of a simple observation: parish staff are spending hours every week doing work that should be automatic. Typing the same Mass intentions into a layout. Copying calendar events from one system to another. Resizing photos. Adjusting text boxes. Re-doing the same manual layout work every single week.
We started by asking a different question. What if the parish just provided the content — the announcements, the photos, the intentions, the lists — and the bulletin built itself?
That question became a system. We built an automation pipeline around a simple principle: don't make parishes change how they work. Whether your content lives in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, Excel, your parish calendar system, or most other common formats, our portal pulls it in and produces a fully designed, print-ready bulletin — automatically. No templates. No drag-and-drop. No design skills required. Just professional-quality output, every week, on time.
Who we are
Our team brings together experience in software development, print production, and Catholic parish operations. We understand the rhythm of parish life — the Tuesday content deadlines, the last-minute intention changes, the weeks when there's too much content and the weeks when there isn't enough. We built this service around those realities, not around what looks good in a product demo.
We're a small, dedicated team based in New Jersey, and we work directly with each parish we serve. When you call us, you reach the people who actually build your bulletin. That's not a phase we'll grow out of — it's how we believe this work should be done.
Let's talk
If your parish is spending too many hours on the bulletin each week, or if you're looking for a path forward as Microsoft Publisher reaches its end of life in October 2026, we'd love to talk.
